Hi everybody, hope you are all doing well. My daughter was diagnosed four years via EEG after having her first seizure (tonic-clonic) at the age of 12. A second followed seven months later and then nothing ... until two episodes in the last few months which sound like simple partial seizures, which have included hallucinations.

I think she didn't really understand what epilepsy was, or its implications, four years ago, but this time she is very keen on finding out all about it. The last couple of weeks have been quite hard for her - she didn't really realise what was happening to her. She had to go t her part-time waitressing job after one of these incidents and her co-workers thought she was drunk.

Hopefully her work situation is now sorted, and she saw the doc yesterday to be referred back to the hospital. Lack of sleep is a major trigger for her - and she also has exams starting tomorrow (we live in Scotland).

I've already been reading people's stories here and I'm sure Rosie may be keen to join the forum too - especially if there are young people like herself about.

Thanks for reading, Jane.
