Hi everyone,
My name is Ida and I have a 5 year old boy son. He was diagnosed two months ago having seizures - Complex Partial Seizures.
I don't know how long he has ben having seizures sice I've never noticed it. School teachers noticed them and suggested to go to a neurologist. Thank God we did it.
He also has speech delays, and attention issues.
He is on Keppra.
I am happy I found this forum where I can share my experience with epilepsy and learn from your experience too.

Hi Ida, welcome to CWE. :)

I don't have a child with epilepsy since I'm the one that has it.

Glad you're here. Lots of friendly, knowledgable folks.

Hi Ida, welcome to CWE!

You may find that your son's speech delays and attention issues are related to the seizures. Hopefully you'll see all sorts of improvement with the Keppra. If your son shows signs of the moodiness/crankiness that Keppra is known for, ask his doc about adding a B6 supplement -- it can help lessen that particular side effect.

Make yourself at home -- CWE is a great community!

Best,
Nakamova
