I'm Amy. I'm 15 years of age & have suffered with Epilepsy for around 9 years. I'm currently taking Keppra & the doctors won't change it even though I have been on it for 2 years without it working at all. It just seems to make it worse. I can't remember what it's like not having epilepsy & I try my best to ignore it. I have full Seizures & partial seizures. I LOVE! Animals!<3 Anything else you wanna know, just PM me! :)

Hey Amy welcome to the site,im sure you will defo enjoy it here.Everyone is great. It sounds like you may need to talk to your doc if your current meds ain't working.Anyhow there is plenty off info to look through and read.Hope you are gonna stick around and become a permanent member!

I'm definatly gonna stick around as much as I can! :) It's the first time I've met people that also have epilepsy. :)

Hi Amy.

Welcome. I have been on Keppra for quite some time. It worked for a while and things went downhill. There are lots of options in medication for epilepsy. If it has been two years without change and your doctor doesn't want to change things, you should be asking why. Its about you, not him.

Hi Amy!! I'm curious what kind of animals are your favorites? I agree, if your meds aren't helping and your doctor won't change, have your parents thought about talking to another doctor, or what are your parents thoughts about this? Welcome to forum!

Hi Amy welcome to CWE

You need to talk with your neuro if those meds don't control you and see if one or maybe more can give you better control.

We just had a big Great Horned Owl in a tree in front of my work. Off the epilepsy topic but, just sayin!
