I’m going back to the hospital for a way overdue hernia surgery Thursday.
I’ve had one in the past and it was easy.

Not all epilepsy related, but this will be my 13th surgery. 😒 I blame three brain and one shoulder surgery on epilepsy. The other’s were mostly accidental injuries.
The hernia I’ve had for months. My last manic episode I believe aggravated it severely. With all the medication I’m taking. My threshold for pain is high. I still haven’t taken any pain medication (aspirin, ibuprofen) but it’s popping out when I’m active and it’s an uncomfortable feeling.
Hopefully this goes smoothly 🤞

No fun! Do you have to stay overnight for that type of surgery?
Hope it goes flawlessly and you heal super quick!

Hi Heavy Kevy,

Sorry to hear you have to go in for surgery again, I wish you only the best and let's hope this surgery will get rid of the
pain forever. One thing you may want to try is called Hempvana it's medical marijuana in a lotion or cream and you can
get it at Walmart I use it on my back and it does wonders. The pain is gone all day long if I put it on in the morning.
I wish you only the best and May God Bless You,

Sue

I hope all goes well with the surgery. Pretty sure this is a routine procedure for the surgeon. You must be a pro with the hospital routines by now I guess.

Thanks everyone !!
There should be no reason for an overnight stay at the hospital. I’m guessing I’ll be filling out a dinner menu prior. Hopefully heading home after I eat. Luckily I live close to the hospital.

Well that went well !!!!
They gave me a sedative before going to the ER to get the actual anesthesia. I must have fell asleep. When I woke up the nurse was telling me that I could get dressed. I told her I didn’t have the surgery yet???

I have no recollection of leaving the pre-op waiting room 🤪

Still zero pain, which is great!
They gave me a prescription for OxyContin but I haven’t taken any. It’s a little creepy.
I’m going to have to be extra careful not to lift anything heavier than 25lb’s.
Thanks again!
