Hey, everyone!
I've had a seizure disorder since I was young, though it wasn't really explained to me in-depth by my childhood neurologist. (Weird, I know.) I had my first complex partial in 2010 and my first grand mal (thanks to some missed doses) in October. I've been on Tegretol (400mg twice a day) since I was 6. Since October, I've experienced simple partial and myoclonic jerks, even while taking my medication to a T.
I'm lucky that I've found a GREAT epileptologist basically at random. She's helping me get sorted and has been SO helpful over the past 1.5 months that she's been treating me.
I have been browsing this forum for about a month and just decided to make an account. This forum is wonderful!
I guess I'm just here for support, really. With the new diagnosis (if you can call it that, considering I've taken Tegretol for ages), I definitely am going through some highs and lows in terms of emotions.
