Hi everyone,

I've joined this forum as my childhood epilepsy appears to have resurfaced in the last few years. Last year I ended up in hospital having a tonic clonic after having the familiar symptoms and warning signs. I took epilim and although it knocked me for six, it appeared to work. I was weaned off it but in the last few weeks i've been having partial seizures (we think) and been back in hospital with a tonic clonic or psuedo seizure, the docs aren't sure. I'm not allowed to drive, I've reluctantly had to quit my job and i'm struggling to keep up with my full time uni course. I'm suffering headaches, migraines and symptoms most days and i'm waiting for an EEG then an appointment with a Neuro. Sigh....but it could be worse right!? lol:banana:

Hi Wobblez!

Your right, it can always be worse :) I'm glad you found all of us.

Hi Wobblez, welcome!

We have a few Aussie members, though I don't know how close they are to you geographically.

I hope you get in to see a neuro quickly. It can't be any fun dealing with headaches and school at the same time. Do you know if if there were any particular stressors that may have provoked the return of your seizures?

Best,
Nakamova

I wouldn't be surprised if stress was the trigger. I'm doing a double major at uni which involves a lot of reading. The Neuro did say it could be causing migraines which then bring on seizures or the migraines could be pre or post-ictal. Hard to tell. I have an appointment with my GP and will ask for a referral for another Neuro so hopefully I will get a second opinion and maybe get in before June, my current appointment!
