Hello

I am Preeti, I am an epileptic since 19 years. Got attacks twice but overall epilepsy diagnosis has been very troublesome for me. I have become very sensitive over the years to what people say, do. I was involved in sexual addiction, I don't know if there is a correlation between epilepsy and it

But I think so. I am a good girl by heart. But all these complications have made a worse human being.

I am here to seek advice from similar people and get peace of my mind.

Cheers:clap:

Hi Preeti, Welcome to CWE! I was reading an article last week about hypersexuality/hyposexuality and Epilepsy and found it really interesting. It was regarding the Temporal Lobe, although I don't know what type of E you have. I'm sure there have been other studies done, as well.
Try not to let your past define who you are as a human being. We all have made mistakes and made poor choices...it's who we are now that counts :) Believe me, if we all could wear name tags that said what we did in our past they would have horrible names on them. So, from today on...forgive yourself and be the beautiful person you were meant to be :)

Welcome Preeti, yes; everything Brandi said, ditto. I believe you will find this place to be safe and non judgemental . You can be you and it is diverse here so make yourself comfy.

Oh, PS. I am curious about the 'sex' connection because I have had experiences of both extremes. I have come to believe that my meds deplete my zinc or affect my ability to metabolize it. When I take zinc supplements, my sex drive changes a lot. So who knows?

Thanks Janus...I am glad that you wrote back. I am in midst of lots of emotions being complicated. So I dont know if a high sex drive is due to meds or due to the fear that no one will marry me because I am an epileptic and I easily give in.

Cheers:bigsmile:
