Hello, I'm "leishy" my daughter "aj" is 3 and has been experiencing myoclonic jerks while asleep and I have been noticing more and more during the day, we have an EEG in just over a weeks time and I need to book her sleep study as well. She has been unwell for a couple of days and has had a febrile convulsion which scared me as I had never seen anything like this. The doctor at the children's hospital has done blood tests to make sure she is not lacking anything in her blood, I'm sure her iron is low because of blood loss during a tonsillectomy last nov, she had iron supplements for 3 months so get results soon hopefully.
My uncle has epilepsy also, so for now I'm here reading about different experiences with epilepsy. Ways of managing and hoping for lots of prayers .
Thankyou.

Hi, leishy and welcome to CWE!
There are several other parents on the site, and I'm sure they will respond soon. Wishing you and your daughter all the best for the upcoming appointments, and I look forward to seeing you around the forums.

Hi Leishy I hope all goes well with your tests. My daughter has had a very bad febrile convulsion and needed an ambulance, it is very frightening :( we are very lucky as this was a once off big one only (she had two very small ones as well). We are very lucky that she has since grown out of them and does not have epilepsy. Hers were caused by viral illnesses. Wishing you all the best for your girl x

Hopefully this works. I have attached a link to a video I filmed of my daughter having what doctors suspect is a myoclonic seizure. Would love advice please.
