Hi there,

Name's Rose. I have alittle bit of history with 'Grand Mal' seizures, but it turns out that lack of oxygen due to a collapsed lung (spontenious Pneumthorax) triggered it after the operation to fix my lung it stopped. But currently a few days ago I was In the hospital due to a seizure, that started entirely different (tingling in the head and numbing sensation, then colvusion). Fom what my husband told me i suffered a memory lapse, but i regained my memory.. im checking my family history and i learned that three members of my family have had a history of seizures. so there is a possibility that i have idiopathic seizures. im currently being tested for it.

I am glad to meet other members here who are having the same type of problems. you guys rock:rock:

:hello: Rose!

THANK YOU for your kind words!

Welcome to CWE! Glad to have you here!
Sorry to hear that you have had to endure
those hideous seizures; and even more
so to finding out that you have a family
history .. but the good news is, you do
not have to let Epilepsy control you! You
can stand up and say "I have Epilepsy,
but Epilepsy doesn't have me!"

And You ROCK too!

thanks for the support. it is hard to deal with but your right, I agree wth what your saying: I am actually come to the reality of Me having epilepsy does not affect my dreams and goals in life. Im trying hard to fulfill my goals all the while treating my little problem. Thanks again.

Hi Rose, welcome to the forum. :hello:

If you are newly diagnosed (or about to be diagnosed) with epilepsy, I'd recommend reading the epilepsy 101 thread.

Hi Rose! Just a quick note to say hello and welcome to the forum! :) Feel free to vent or ask any questions....and as Bernard said, read the epilepsy 101 thread. :)

Welcome Rose

Make yourself at home. CWE is one of the most interesting and helpful sites I know of.

Welcome Rose. You hit the bullseye.

"You are a person with epilepsy"

Please don't forget that. Each of us is so much more than an epileptic (I don't like that term). I look forward to supporting you and helping you find answers, however I also look forward to learning a little bit about you. We all bring something new to the table and you never know when your experiences may help someone else.

The central staff here is very helpful, but sometimes it is the 'newbies' that can offer a little more insight just because of their history with E or a certain medication.

Welcome again. I serve the coffee and hot chocolate around here.
