Doctors told me that I got some bacteria or something in my system when I was around 6 or 8, but I didn't have my first gran mal seizure till was 20 in the middle college. The shock of the meds put in my body wouldn't let me concentrate and I just couldn't study much less with having the mental seizures all the time and gran Mal almost every other time. If I could think straight I would have gone to university and state my problems and why grades in all my classes just dropped.
My mom pulled me out and tried get me settled down in Texas where brother n sister are.
I have been on Dilantin, Trileptal, Depakote, Onfi, Vimpat and so many others I don't have it memorized.
I manage a bicycle shop, and would like another job.
I still have gran mals, but not as often since I started with vimpat about 4 years ago. I just started Onfi about a ago.
My last seizure was last Friday, I had just closed the shop and was counting the register when it happened. I never feel them coming so I woke up with wooden podium smashed to pieces and luckily nothing happened to the computer or register. Me, of course look I just got in a fight, black eye, bit tongue blood every where, bloody cuts and bruises all over the body. Embarrassed , I know I have no control but it still hurts emotional

Hi Klaus :)
Welcome to CWE! Sorry you have reason to join, but glad you found us. There are a lot of great people here; I'm sure others will chime in soon.

Hi Klaus, this forum was made out of love by Bernard for his wife Stacy. That love permeates throughout the whole forum.

Welcome.

Medical Marijuana details

In the states that it is now legal in, is the marijuana made into a pill or a syrup? I assume the doctor wouldn't want you damaging the lungs by smoking.
If you are taking the medical pot, since the THC level is reduced, you don't get "stoned" effect, is that true?

Hi Klaus, it is legal in CA. However, it didn't last long. There were dispensaries to give to those who got a prescription from their doctor. Then the Federal Government came in and took the dispensaries away. Finally, they closed them down.

I never asked my doctor for a prescription. Why? Because the Federal Government has the final say. It has to be legalized by the Supreme Court of the USA. It is not legal in the Federal Laws.

I would never take it like tobacco. That's bad for the lungs. I doubt if I would ever take it at all.

It has raised the crime in CA. There are more thefts of marijuana and shootings over it. For that reason, I would not want it in my house.

It has raised the crime in CA [(and in Canada, too)]. There are more thefts of marijuana and shootings over it. For that reason, I would not want it in my house.

First question, I do not know one way or another if it is made into a pill or a syrup or just straight from the farm. I know it is an herb and can be put into food like any other herb.

My doctor's over the years have given me Neurontin and Keppra which over the years has caused me to have kidney problems.

2nd question: I do not know. It depends if you decide to overdose or not.

What state do you live in? Is that why you are asking about marijuana?

If you want my opinion, I would not take it. There is no proof that it helps epilepsy. There is proof that it helps cancer, so someone can eat.

Hey Ruth,

I would have to differ with you on the medical Marijuana, it's alive and doing quite well here in CA. So well that the prices have dramatically dropped in areas, thanks to competition.

Also nothing wrong with smoking it. If you have the cancer gene, you will get cancer whether you smoke or not. Look up the worlds oldest person that ever lived, Jeanne Calments, lived to 122 and smoke all her life. Also the lady following her in the guineas book of worlds records also smoked. The docs have blown this whole thing about smoking out of proportion.

Here is some interesting readings on smoking.
