Hi,
I'm a new comer to this forum but I have been coping with epilepsy since the age 0f 3 1/2, it was a difficult childhood with health issues throughout my early years to junior high school. High school was better and my early adult life was on and off with the seizures . I probably encountered more but didn't realize they were seizures until my later in life. In 2008, I was told by my neurologist that the seizures I have been having were complex partial seizures. My husband and I didn't realize that when I would scratch my pillow at night that it was a seizure. In 2009, I had brain surgery and they removed my amedula and a sliver of the hippoccampus. the neuro-surgeon wasn't able to remove what he wanted all at once and didn't want to take too much out because he couldn't put it back. After surgery I felt great, much better than before; beause before surgery I had to be in a dark room and a quiet environment. Muscle pain and severe headache and much more.
After 7 months recovery I went back to work in as an early childcare educator. I was so happy to go back to work, I enjoyed working and everything was going well. In august 2011 my neurologist gave me the ok to get my licence back; I was finally going to get it back. Thern not to long after I had a seizure. It disappointed me but thought still worked at the daycare. In late September the week of my birthday I began to have violent headaches ; sharp shooting pain on L&R temporal lobe as my skull is so sensitive touch it is undiscrisbable. I'm presently on long term disability and had every test possible taken fromm MRI,spinal tap, cat scan,EEG, and no answers.
I join this forum to hear from others and to see what alternative treatment with natural remedies can be useful.
