I'm new here, as you can see. I've been having seizures most of my life.

I'm 20 and I still get absence seizures. I get them all the time. Once a week I'll usually have a grand mal fit.

So I'm saying that my epilepsy is definitely not controlled...I have tried at least 15 medications for epilepsy. Will be going for a EEG next month when I see my neurologist.

I have a weird trigger for seizures..they are caused if I go cross eyed or lack of sleep. I'm wondering if anyone else has this trigger.

Lookin' forward to talking to all of you.

Hi jawds, welcome to CWE!

Crossed eyes are often the first sign of a seizure -- so maybe they aren't triggering your seizures, but are one of the symptoms. Are you otherwise photosensitive? It could also be that crossing your eyes triggers your seizures the way flashing or flickering lights do in others.

Have you looked at trying the Modifed Atkins Diet? It has shown success in controlling absence seizures.

Best,
Nakamova

I actually think you're correct. I am bothered by pixelated (like old school mario and zelda..) animations as well as blurred pictures.

I'm currently on the modified atkins diet.. Well, sometimes I cheat ):
