Hello everyone! My name is Ally and I joined this site looking for some support. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Myoclonic Epilepsy just a couple months ago. I am having a hard time adjusting to the news and I feel like an outsider with my family and friends.

Hi--we all understand how it feels to be among people who don't really relate to what we experience. This is a good place to be among others like you--feel free to ask questions and explore the posts. Welcome here!

Hello Ally,
welcome to CWE I've had epilepsy since I was two.

You do learn who your true friends are though when it comes to your seizures, I know I have.Family can be over protective at least mine was like that till I put my foot down about not being told things.

Hello Ally, welcome to CWE. It really is a wonderful place! Although I do not have JME, my 16 year old daughter was diagnosed with JME 2 years ago. I am hopeful CWE will be as helpful to you as it is to me. Welcome!

Hi Ally, adding my welcome to everyone else's! Make yourself at home. :)
