Hey, Everyone:)

What are the chances that a hit & run food delivery(the driver was on a side street & hit me & my mom and then took off) will be charged with causing over $1,500 worth of damage to our only car? I'm hoping we'll be able to catch the driver since his (or her) car has major front end damage. Thanks in advance for the advice. ~Ann T.

Most likely .... not.
We had one, and they caught the guy. My son was driving and would have had to go to court multiple times. My husband did not want to take the chance of retribution.
Do you have insurance to cover it?

Did you witness the accident? Did you call the police and file a report? If the responsible vehicle is owned by a company, you might have some luck in getting a settlement.

Hi Ann

Since it was a food delivery man/woman, you have a good chance. Find out which food delivery came in with major damage. Did you get the name of the food delivery place? All you need to know is what route a person was heading at the time. Check it out.
