I feel for all of you who are going through hardship back East because of the Hurricane.

How is everyone doing? Is the electricity going back on. Are things getting better.

Does anyone know how Royerford, PA is doing? My daughter lives there. The last time I spoke to her was the night before the storm hit. I asked her if they were prepared. She said that they would be all right. My grand daughter would be going to school and she would be going to work.

That is the last that I have heard from my daughter. I have emailed her several times and written her letters. I have not heard from her or my grandsons, either.

Does anyone need help, still? I have heard on the news that Staten Island is still in bad shape.

I live in CA and cannot afford to go see if she is all right.

Please tell me about your experiences and how you made it through.

There was a power outage a few days ago in Royersford from a blown transformer, so maybe your daughter is without power because of that? The article is here: http://limerick.patch.com/articles/transformer-fire-causing-power-outage-in-royersford
I hope you hear from your daughter soon.

In New York, the subway is basically up and running, but there's still a shortage of gasoline in a number of areas. There are power outages throughout the NY/NJ/CT area from the nor'easter earlier this week. Many families have been displaced...

Hi Nakanova and cazzy,

I thank you both for the information.

I joined the newspaper to get daily updates. When I put in my email address, I was told that someone else is using it. I believe my daughter is trying to get hold of me. I left a comment in the newspaper and joined the newspaper.

I hope to hear from her soon.

Thank you for the link to the newspaper.

I heard from my daughter today.

She said that she has never been without electricitry.

Is anyone from Staten Island? I really feel for them. They are getting electric bills and they are still without electricity. The gas rationing is awful. I really feel for everyone who has been affected by Hurricane Sandy.

Ruth, I'm glad you finally heard back from your daughter and that she is safe.
