I haven't woken up remembering a dream since all this started, but when my alarm went off this morning I had to smile because I'd had a GOOD dream, and I could remember it.

I don't remember how it started, but I remember someone gave me a beautiful butterscotch colored boxer puppy. Now, I'm not normally a fan of boxers, but my best friend got one for her husband's birthday last year and she is SO stinkin cute. I could feel her warm fuzzy little self when they handed her to me, and she nuzzled into my neck. Then slept with me until she was too big for the bed.

Oh it was such a sweet dream. I'm quite thankful for it :) :crying:

Now, for some coffee and to keep daydreaming about the day I finally get my dog. For now my cat, and snake will have to do. I need to rehome the bird though.

that is a great dream! I always have very vivid and strange dreams. The current re-occurring theme is bears! Don't ask me why, I have no idea, but it is always a big bear that is a "pet". If I were to look that up in a dream book, it might tell me I am crazy, but that was already a given :)

I'm glad you had such a nice dream! I have extrememly vivid and convoluted dreams nearly every night, but fortunately most of them are either neutral or pleasant. (I had a great "flying" dream a couple of nights ago.)

Anyway, sounds like you needed a warm-puppy dream after the stuff you've been going through lately. Enjoy the memory of it!

(What kind of bird do you have that needs a new home?)

Arnie - he's a cockatiel. We were supposed to just be a foster home, but it's been almost 3 years.

I had an orange-wing amazon that I adopted from a rescue place after my other one (that I had had for 15 years) died. I finally had to give him away because he was noisy, agitated all the time, tried to attack everyone, etc. It was sad because animals and birds usually love me. He did go to a good home, though, with someone whoworks at a bird store and could handle him really well.

That's good :) We had a senegal when we got married, was my husband's bird. He passed on about 5 years ago now. We miss Camo.

Killer was picked on at a store, my friend took him home, but he didn't like her other birds. He was plucking, so when she asked, I said sure. He 'got better' immediately. But he prefers to be covered all the time. I want him to go somewhere where he'll be the only pet, I think he would like that better. Also, no kids.

Among my critters that I have now, I have to say my favorite is my crow. He has been disabled since he was born and would not have been able to have been rehabilitated, so I've been OK'd to have him. (Normally it's not legal to have wild animals.) He has never been wild since he came to me two days after leaving his nest, so I am the only "family" he has known. Crows are amazing animals, and I feel very fortunate to have had him come to me. I've had him for about 5 1/2 years now. PM me if you want to hear more about him. Cheers!

Arnie, that is SO COOL!!! My husband bought his Senegal when he was 2 days old at a bird show. His mother had pecked his toes and he was going to die. He lived 12 years :)

Killer is a good bird, and would make a single person, very happy. He just needs a quiet home, no kids, no "extra" people. I hope I can find that for him before he gets too old.

Chargingbird,
That sounds like a great dream you had :).

I always have very vivid and strange dreams.
I'm the same my dreams are usually pretty strange, most of the time I don't remember all the details but I know they are weird lol.

That sounds like an awesome dream, how can you go wrong with a dream about getting a dog! Hopefully it does happen soon.

I love good dreams. They set the tone for the whole entire day. I had a dream the other day that I was the Queen of England having a day off. I had a proper tea at a pub while wearing a ball gown and then went window shopping in a quaint little town.
A butterscotch coloured boxer puppy is a nuzzling nugget of goodness.

I wish it had been enough to carry me. It wasn't. :(

Maybe if I think about it enough before I fall asleep, I'll dream it again.

(((()))) Hope you had a better night with some more puppy-dog dreams. Have a good weekend! :) I wish there were some way to record dreams and play them back for other people to see. I would really like to share some of the ones I have.

No dreams that I remember from last night. I ended up taking half an ativan, I slept almost 12 hours. I feel like a bad mom, I miss my kids when they're at school, so I dont' like sleeping late on weekends.
