I was diagnosed with epilepsy in 2000, and up until 2006 had five grand mal seizures on Lamictal. Since 2010 I have had small seizures though I don't know the name, where my arm would jerk, my tongue would jerk, and I would have large "twitches" in my sleep(as described by my boyfriend). Three weeks ago I had another grand mal (tonic clonic) seizure and since then I have spells of double vision lasting between 5 minutes and one hour. Last week my double vision turned into dizziness and then a small seizure where I lost control of my arms and legs for one second but was conscious (not sure of the kind). I don't know if the double vision is a panic attack from fear of having another seizure, I work with young children and babies, or if they are real seizures.

Any help would be great, because my neurologist does not seem to care

Hello! Welcome to CWE!
Lamictal can cause double vision. I've experienced it myself- whenever I don't eat enough with my meds, I get double vision. It's so annoying.

Hi learner.of.life, welcome to CWE!

If your neurologist doesn't care about your quality of life, you need to find one who does. The seizures with twitching you are having sound like myoclonic seizures. Lamictal can cause myoclonic jerks, so you should ask your [new] neurologist about trying a different med, especially if it is also causing your double vision.

Best,
Nakamova

I very much agree with Nakamova, who is very wise.
You must find a neurologist that will be a partner in your treatment, not just a drug dispenser.

Please try to find the right doctor.
