Hi Brain - I'm not really a biker and even if I were it would be a dangerous thing to manuever these roads in Sound Beach, NY. These roads are crazy up and down circles. When I drove I was ever vigilant! I love walking where I can manage these roads but still carefully. There's a deli within in walking distance. That's it. I wish I had access to public ongoings. Looking into buses to get me where I want to go. Artsy little towns. I've always admired bike riders! I think the last bike I rode was when I was 13. A black ten speeder! Best - Laurie

I am not saying that my philosophy is right or for everyone but I tend to think that most restrictions doctors give are to save their butts. Personnally I followed their advice and took their meds till I was housebound for 3years. Then with the support of my family I tossed the meds, came out of the fog, and live life. I still have seizures but I listen to my body and if today is not good then I alter my plans accordingly. Oddly enough I have less episodes and feel better between. I see my neuro about once a year and he runs tests and scolds me and gives me a rx then says he knows I probably won't like the side effects. He is right about that! Somehow being in a fog everyday to possibly stop an event that lasts only a few minutes at a times doesn't seem worth it to me. Not saying my plan is for everyone but it works for me. I will admit that horseback riding might not have been my best idea...yes there is a story there:rock:
