Hi, my name is Scarlette,
I've had seizures since I was 3 years of age. I stopped having seizures from age 7 to age sixteen when I began to have them again intermittently. I was diagnosed with temporal lobe epilepsy at sixteen. Up until now my seizures have not really had an affect on my life as I've kept them under control for the most part with medication but two years ago I began to have them more frequently. (still only about 7 per year, but that's after going for ten years with only about one per year,if that. Anyway ,I'm starting to notice weird things, like mood swings and the feeling that I have two different personalities. I have no idea if this is related to epilepsy or not, but I thought it would at least be helpful to get to know others with E and have someone to talk to. I feel very isolated right now.

Sorry, I started a sentence and thought better of it at the end there. I should have previewed to make sure I deleted it all.

Hi Scarlett! I haven't been diagnosed with E, but I wanted to let you know that you're not alone.

Welcome :)

Hey I am new to here as you are. But I'm here for more information purposes so I can tell you you're not alone and if ever needed, I'm damn good at comic relief.

Hi, Nice to meet you.

Hormones can be a trigger, which could be play a role in your seizures.

I have temporal lobe epilepsy also.

People on this forum are great in sharing their exper. with E, Dr. and meds.
Look in all the forums and feel free to ask any question.

Hi Scarlette, welcome to CWE!

Sometimes mood stuff can be a side effect of the meds. Have you talked to your neurologist about your latest symptoms. He may be able to help determine if what you're experiencing is seizures or side effects.

Best,
Nakamova
