Gday , How about a jobsearch website on the computer for people with epilepsy ect , i imagine that it should work ok where there is public transport ect and i bet that there are plenty of computer literate people here that could make it work , have it so employers that would be happy to employ someone with epilepsy ect could advertise for workers & people that have epilepsy ect could list their name to find work , there would be thousands of people out there with epilepsy ect that would be loyal honest workers that would be a great asset to many employers , well there`s the idea we would just have to make it work !

not thousands - more like millions....

I think this is awesome thought......though no idea how/where one would begin, as my thought is CWE is (rightly so) a place for people to talk and share and care for each other...and not good idea to attract unwanted prowlers..

Not at cwe , i bet there are hundreds of people here that are real computer literate ( unlike myself ) and however they do it start a new website for job vacancies , work with each other across the usa /canada to do it with a combined effort once the website is going get the media & other E groups involved , with enough push & determination it may work , in business you don`t wait for the work to come to you , you go out and get it yourself !!!!!

hi marty,

whilst this is a great idea, in most countries employers would be breaking the law if they were to discriminate and NOT accept differently-abled employees where at all possible. hergo we should be able to use the gazzillions of job sites currently available and not actually need a specialist site...

having said that i realise it's actually pie-in-the-sky. i'm currently looking for new work and am ridiculously over-qualified for many of the jobs i apply for and now find it quite amusing to see their drooling look of anticipation turn to resignation as soon as i mention the E.

but you know what they can do ;)

there ARE plenty of excellent employers out there though, and personally i feel having to use a specialist site just groups us as somehow being sub-normal. all the good ones already have extra details for travel etc, and for the ones that don't there's always google maps ;)

good luck if you're looking for work as well :)
