Hello to you all.........

Been around with epilepsy for a while now. I've been having seizures for about 31 years now(40 yrs old). The majority of my life they were simply the small ones yet within the last few years they've become much worse. It's not an everyday thing but I dread, almost fear, having them now.

I have great friends who are all aware of my epilepsy and who have been there in need.

It's just that need that is beginning to really eat away at me. Being single with the inability to drive is just getting nerve-racking.

Welcome!
I think my seizures are mild, but it is the not knowing that scared the beegeez out of me!

Welcome Icepuck

You will be happy you found this place. Everyone here is very supportive. Sharing our thoughts, feelings and experiances with others helps us all cope with epilepsy.

Kick back, take off your shoes, here a tall glass of sweet tea, now let's get aquainted!

Hi Icepuck :hello: Welcome to CWE!!!

This is a great place to find encouragement, support, and information. Pull up a seat and hop right in with questions, comments, or just to vent in the padded room. We're really glad you're here :woot:

A big howdy to ya!! We are all different and yet the same - human!! WELCOME!!

I usually, almost always talk too much, and each of us has our own traits.

You are among TRUE people who CARE!!!

After 50 yrs of epilepsy, I'm just now learning about it myself, more and more every day as the medical society does. Mine is in the Temporal Lobe and explains a LOT of my life's problems in childhood through now. Biggest problem is memory loss.

My memory loss doesn't bother me because how can something you forgot bother you (unless it is a name or word - adaption is great - use a substitute and then at 3 a.m. it will come to you !!! haha).

I just hung up on my son because he was blessing me out :soap: for forgetting something and confusing something I thought he said (false memory - another part of the temporal lobe type epilepsy). When he can't cope, I let him have space.

Lots of time family and friends can't cope with the outworkings of epilepsy.

Glad to have you here - ask questions - talk all you want - Bernard's the one who created this forum and knows all sorts of links.

Have fun here.........Gail
