My daughter and her partner of 4 years are now engaged. IL law now allows same sex marriage so it will be final when it happens. I am excited as I love her partner as if she were my own and her partners mother is so good to my daughter too. The rest of my family, well, lets say maybe someday they will except them as a couple but they do treat them well. :hugs:

Their picture is set as my avatar as for some reason my posting rules at the bottom of the page say I cant post attachment.?

By the way my daughter is the dark haired one toward back of pic.

Penny,
Congrats to your daughter & her partner, as you said maybe one day your family will accept it.

I have a nephew who is gay, he came out when he was 15 & he is now 20. He had support from both his parents & both sides of the family, we all love him as he is an amazing young men who would do anything to help anyone.

.

You should be able to post a pic but you need to use a website which you can save images to & then upload onto here eg photobucket or image shack.

Congratulations to you and your daughter, the family with time will come to accept things I hope but its what makes your daughter happy that counts in the end and they look happy. Congratulations again to your daughter.

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!

That is so great and I'm glad that you are a supportive mother in this because I know many wouldn't be. It's great that they will be able to get married too! I believe it should be that way everywhere. Loving each other should be all that matters in order to be able to get married!

Congratulations Penny! I'm all for folks who are happy and in love.

Yay! Congratulations. You need a bit of sunshine and roses in your life. Get a Photobucket account so we can see the wedding pics.

Congrats to your daughter. It sounds like you are proud and you have every reason to be!
