My stepmom is 24 weeks pregnant with triplets. She's having 2 boys and a girl :) its pretty exciting but pretty scary, anybody got any experience with triplets/multiples they wanna share or any tips/advice?
Also any name suggestions would be cool, :) we havent fully decided yet but the favorites right now are Kyle, Joel and Leah.
My stepmoms gotta rest up in bed pretty much the whole day now, i feel sorry for her. Its scary to think that any time something could happen, we just all have to sit around hoping shes ok and the babies dont try making an appearance any time soon.
Just thought id share some happy news with you all :-)

Oh, that

is just SOOOOOO cool!!!

Sorry, I don't have any experience with multiples myself, although I've taught many sets of multiples over the years. Lots of love, patience, understanding, cooperation and as much rest as possible are the main keys, I think.

Tell your parents congratulations for me, and when those babies come, give them kisses and hugs for me, too. I just LOVE babies!!!!

How exciting! My wife has younger triplet sisters. One fraternal and two identical (you can tell them apart now - it was harder when they were younger). I'll give her a nudge.

I'm guessing your brothers are going to be identical. You will need to dress them in different clothes every day to be able to tell them apart until they get old enough where you can do that without external cues.

That is so exciting! Congratulations!

What happens if you put them all in the bath at the same time? How do you tell them apart? lol...

You are going to have so much fun with those babies. Lots of work, but tons of fun!

:)

That's great news! Those kids will be a handful! Three different diaper bags can be useful. Or maybe one giant one with 3 different compartments.

Friends of mine have identical twins. Now that the twins are teenagers, they are easy to tell apart, (and I'm sure their parents could distinguish them from the start), but it took awhile (for me) to pick up on the visual and personality differences.

my whole family is full of twins and triplets. both me and my sister are in line to have them, and my flower girls are twins! they are so cute!

Congratulations! Your family will have very busy first years. Do you live with your dad or mom? I hope all goes well and those kids will be born healthy. I'm a mom of twins, boy and girl, born 4 years after my eldest (special needs) son with epilepsy. I feel very lucky they're healthy. They were born with 36.6 days of pregnany, were small but healthy, stayed in the hospital for 8 and 10 days.

Thanks everyone :-) i live with my dad and stepmom so there wont be any getting away! I think im prepared to help best i can though...
my parents are considering color coding the babies (one of the boys having red clothes, red bottle tops etc, the other boy blue, and the girl yellow etc) to help save things getting mixed up and so they can have their own stuff. I just hope my stepmom (and the babies) wont have to stay in hospital for too long. ive seen enough of that place to last me a lifetime...
i'll keep you updated with any more news :-)

my parents are considering color coding the babies

I had this visual image of babies dipped in RIT dye... Blue baby, Red baby, Yellow baby...

lol...

I had a friend who had a very difficult time telling her kids apart.....so from the time they came home from the hospital, she painted the little toe nail a different color so they would not get them confused.

That's so cool! I'm a twin!

As far as baby names go, I'm really glad my mom didn't name us "twin names", like Melody and Harmony or Addy and Maddy.

She dressed us in the same outfits, but in opposite colors, so she could tell us apart. Like I would be wearing green with pink flowers and sis would be wearing pink with green.

Good luck! I hope everything goes well!

Exciting,Buy some ear plugs so your ready (LOL) 3 babies are great , but it's gonna be noisey!

Three at once! I hope your stepmom is young!! Just kidding. sounds like she will have a lot of support and you sound like you are going to be a great big brother! I am a twin as well, and we are fraternal, so easy to tell apart. I like the color coding idea! I have nieces who are identical, and I still can't tell them apart. They are 28 now!!!
