Hi all I'm George from South Africa. Where I live there is not much support & knowlege of E so finding you people on line is a blessing for me. I think I'll be able to learn a lot from you.

Welcome

:cheers:Welcome George! There is another person from South Africa on here as well, so I'm sure you two will bump into each other. You'll find a lot of great people and helpful information in here. Relax and enjoy!

Hi George, welcome to CWE!

This place is a terrific resource. The members here are a great source of information, advice, empathy, support, and good humor. I hope you feel free to explore the forums and archives and to post your own story.

Best,
Nakamova

Hi George! Nice to "talk" to you! You will always be welcome here. :hello:

Welcome George! You've come to a place of smart, supportive, caring, interested people.

If there's any way we can help, sing out. That's why we're here!

Hi, Blaster. I'm the other person from SA. At the moment, I'm wanting to move further away from the city but I don't want to get too far away from the decent neurologists, so I'm having to stay here. It's tough living so far out, because we do have some of the best neurologists and neurosurgeons in the country. If you're able to travel to Gauteng or Cape Town every so often, I can let you know who the best neuros are. It can help even to see someone every six months. Better than nothing, anyway. I've never lived on your side of the world, so I don't have experience with the neuros there. The best I can think of is to call Dr Giam Paolo in Gauteng and ask what your best bet is for a neuro over there. Another option is to get two neuros to work together on your case: one nearby to take care of everyday stuff and a decent one in the city to stay in touch with your doc, oversee your case, and see you at less regular intervals.
