Hi everyone, just found this site today while looking for epilepsy information. Read the forums for an hour and had to join the site. I've had auras my whole life and the forums on this site were some of the first places I've heard anyone but me say they've had a "psychic/ deja vu" moment while having an aura. Everybody else just looks at me like i'm crazy when I'd try to describe what I was feeling while the aura was going on. After reading first hand accounts of auras, and seeing that people are experiencing the same things that happen to me, I couldn't not join this site.

Thanks everyone

Sam

Welcome Sam

It is good (actually even weird sometimes) to hear someone else describe what you but nobody else seems to know. It's actually likely that the more you look around this site the more things like that you'll find.

Get comfy, make yourself at home & check the place out. It's always good to have one more person so we can hear their experiences.

Hi, Sam,

Welcome to CWE!

I felt the same way when I joined the forum. FINALLY, some people that understand what I've been experiencing. I was a huge relief. I felt a lot less like a nut job when I described my seizures, which is what my family pretty much thought of me at that time. (They are coming around since.)

I have Deja Vu, also Jaimas Vu (which is not recognizing things you should). It really is confusing and scary when you don't know what's going on.

Well, welcome again. I'm glad you found us. :)

Welcome Sam

I know what you mean. I had been having deja vu/auras for years and had a hard time explaining them to people. It was comforting to find a place where there were so many others who knew what I was experiencing and didn't think I was making things up.

Anyway, welcome aboard. Good to have you here.

Hi, Ive only been on this site one day, but already i cant believe how good it is. I have never spoken to anyone who has been experiencing the same things. My deja vu moments are constant and can make me as sick as a pig, but in a weird way sometimes i feel like in a way its opening up my mind, weird. I thought for a while that it was maybe repressed memories or something as i was adament that although i had never been to the places or met the people that i was glimpsing will having the deja vu moment i was sure that i knew the places or people.
