I am the mother of 2 beautiful children, one healthy beautiful daughter and one handsome son who has epilepsy.
Ten Years ago I watched in horror as my son slumped to the floor, his face frozen in a twisted grimace, his body twitching in convulsions.
My son has Temporo-occipital seizures which became generalized seizures and absence seizures.
He is now 16 and we still have control over his seizures, yet they seem to have changed quite a bit. It will be 2 years March 8, that he hasn't had a grand-mal. But lately they seem to be coming in clusters and complex partial as well as partial. He is on Epival, dilantin and lamictal (Epival and lamictal were recently increased). Have another blood test and eeg in begining of march and pat with his neuro on the 18th of march, which at this time will be deterimed if a change of meds or something else, which will not be surgery, his neuro says he is not considering him for surgery, at this point. Well thats it, sorry for blabbing
