Welcome to the site denversMOM! I'm sure you will find all the information here very helpful. Everyone is so nice and willing to help with your problems.

It makes dealing with epilepsy so much easier when you have people to talk to that can understand.

I hope you are doing well today.

Hi, hello

and how do you do? It's nice to "meet" you!

I'm sorry to hear you're have a rough time of it lately, but you have landed in a great spot for support, making friends, and learning.

Do you by chance keep an E journal? They help you a lot with tracking information that might identify the triggers for your seizures, and can help both you AND your doctors a LOT. If you don't, I have a handy list of things that should probably go into it...

Feel free to check out all of the nooks and crannies here; the Library and the Kitchen are both great for loading up on information. The Padded Room is great for venting when you need to, and trust me, we all need to at some point!

Kick up your feet, sit down and relax. Mr B, our host, has built us an AWESOME home here.

Take care!

Meetz

Howdy denversMom!

Fingers-crossed that this seizure is just a temporary setback. What Meetz says above about keeping a journal is excellent advice. You'll also find on this site lots of great info about alternative and complementary treatments involving neurofeedback, cognitive behavioral therapy, and diet.

Best,
Nakamova

Ooops

I forgot to add in a PS, that I moved your post to The Foyer instead of The Lemonade Stand. That way people will find you more easily to meet you... Sorry!!!

Hi denversMOM and Welcome,

I'm sorry to hear your seizures returned after you had surgery. Which side of the brain was your surgery on? I had a left temporal lobectomy and was only seizure free for 14 months, so yes it sucks!!

As Meetz said, stick around and check out all the nooks and crannies and feel free to vent when you need to.

I certainly do hope you find some treatment that will work for you.

Welcome denversmom!
I hope you find some alternatives here to try.
