I take xanax and had what I am almost positive was a seizure yesterday morning. Now, i realize that in the past year or so, I've had a couple seizures, although I had thought I was dreaming. It seems to go hand in hand with a change in the amount of xanax I take. I just put a call into the doc to see what the heck is going on. I'm pretty freaked out.

Hi mshell62, welcome!

I moved your post to the Foyer so folks could welcome you and respond.

Your doc can help sort things out, but Xanax could definitely be factor if you are having seizures. It's a powerful benzo, and as with anti-seizure meds, changes in dosage up or down can cause seizures and other nasty side effects. I hope you can get some answers and help soon.

Best,
Nakamova
