Husband woke me up about to seizure I think because he was breathing really loud. He never does that. It was scary. Does anybody know about this? He has epilepsy. But other that the doctor hasn't said anything about the cause. He has had them since 2005 about.

Hi Peaceannie555, welcome to CWE!

Has your husband had seizures at night before? Does he have any other sleeping issues (like apnea) that might affect his breathing? The loud breathing usually comes after a seizure rather than before, so it's possible something else was going on.

How did he feel in the morning? And how did you? I know it must be tough to worry about what's happening with him.

Best,
Nakamova

Hello there

Peaceannie.

I hope you're doing well, after the initial shock.

Nak is right....the loud breathing is usually after....what type of E does your husband have? If he has tonic clonic seizures, the loud breathing wouldn't be surprising...as the Tonic Clonic seizures do occur during sleep (that's when mine happen).

In the meantime, welcome to CWE. I'm sure you'll find that we are a great big happy family here, and the dinner party that Mr B., our host, offers up, is quite awesome.

Cheers!
