Hello everyone,
Last week if you were to tell me i would be spending most of my week looking up all the information i could find on seizures in children and Epilepsy, I would not have believed you!!! But here i am and am starting to process everything and leaning on my faith and heavenly father to get our family through this.
My son was at church with my husband ( me and my other kids were not with them as i was sick) on Sunday and since we all where not with him and his Aunt ( husbands aunt) had nursery, he left him go back with her. Long story short, out of the blue he threw his head back and his eyes rolled back and he started to go into a seizure. The seizure lasted no more than 10 to 12 seconds then he passed out and was unconscious for almost 15 minutes. 911 was called, I was called and off to the hospital I went. His blood work came back fine as did the cat-scan that they did. We now have an appointment with an neurologist that will be doing an MRI and an EEG on him.
Not sure what to expect and i feel like I'm watching him 24/7 just to make sure if it happens again I'm there. Anything i need to know before seeing the neurologist? Any questions that i need to make sure and ask? Thanks for all the help and look forward to reading and getting more information, also making new friends.
