Hi Everybody, I'm new to the site and very excited to be here. Its great to relate to people who understand what I go through. I've had seizures since I was 16. A blessing in some ways. Its caused me to "Find the Matrix" if you will. I am a "Bluecollar" Neurofeedback practitioner. I enjoy talking about it and will answer any questions the best I can. It has yet to make my "Zingers" (my word for cloni-tonic seizures) go away, but it helps me in controlling and "Owning" my internal states. This helps me from dropping into theta where some my seizures seem to happen. Anyways I look forward to connecting with you all. So glad I found this site.

Hi transmogrifier, welcome to the forum. :hello:

Are you administering NFB treatments for patients or just using NFB yourself? Your post was not entirely clear.

transmogrifier

Welcome to C.W.E. feel free to look around. Like Bernard said my knowledge of Neurofeedback is limited mainly because of feed back I received years ago but things have changed.

Welcome to CWE. Everyone here is understanding and more than willing to share what they have gone through(hoping to help others)
I feel so blessed to have found this forum.

Hi transmogrigier, welcome!

I'd love to hear what your experience has been administering and/or receiving neurofeedback.

Best,
Nakamova

Hi

Welcome to CWE!

I'm glad that someone who has had experienced both sides of Neurofeedback is on here because I am interested and would love to pick your brain about it!!

It's nice to meet you :)

Sorry about that. Practitioner and client.

Interesting. My wife has used NFB (SMR entrainment, QEEG guided and LENS at various times) with varying degrees of success. What protocol are you using?

I mostly have been using "NeuroOptimal" very clever program based on "Nonlinear Dynamics" It has great success in calming the Amygdala, but I have recently begun using "Thought technology" which can train very specific states. I've been enjoying that very much. I must say I look forward to answering everybodies questions, but I must say I'm a much better speaker then a typer so I'll do my best.

I must say Stacey I look forward to answering your questions, but I must say I'm a much better speaker then a typer so I'll do my best.

transmogrifier,

Hello, simply delighted u r on board!!!

How many sessions in your opinion does it take to see change/progress? How many sessions do u think are required per week to make NFB more/better successful....My Son can only make it once a week due to busy schedule, he is 27 and in NFB for 11 months now...and we are seeing progress albeit slow.

I have a feeling I will have more questions for u :)..thank u
