I have been waking up after being in bed for about an hour, I am slightly confused and not sure where I am, and think it is morning.

At the time of 'waking' I notice that my teeth are clenched very tightly and I have a metal taste in my mouth.

This has happened about three times in the last 10 days.

Prior to this, my only symptom told by family and friends is a blank stare/ zoning out while rolling my thumbs.

I have had one EEG that showed spikes...I have been scheduled and re-scheduled for a 3 day EEG, that should happen this coming Monday.

I am not on any medication for seizures.

Any comments/advice??

Write down these episodes -- they may or may not be nocturnal seizures, but keep track of them and check in with your doctor, especially of the seem to be escalating. Has there been anything that's changed recently in your sleeping or eating schedule that might be a trigger? You might want to try going to be earlier or later and seeing if it makes a difference. If your sleep is restless, consider taking melatonin.

Naka...
thank you for your reply. I will write it down and tell my neuro when I see him in two weeks.
I also have bit the inside of my cheeks hard during these times.

well....I am wired up as I type. Went this afternoon and got 26 electrodes glued to my head and now home with a monitor pack and event button. Not sure how I am to do much of anything....as it is very awkward. My forehead is more then half wrapped....making it very difficult to even wash my face.

They gave me a log to write down everything I am doing. It is funny to me....like every hour is going to be the same, either computer (laptop) or watching TV. haha
