Hi! I'm new to this forum and wanted to introduce myself. I am a mom of twin boys (4 yes old). Both my boys are currently having non epileptic seizures at least once a month. They have been seen by a pediatric neurologist that only did a physical exam on them (no EEG or MRI). I explained in detail how the seizures are happening ( my child falls, feels pain regardless of how minor or severe the fall is, if he gets too overwhelmed then he goes into a triggered stage where he arches his back, arms go straight and fists close and then after 5 seconds relaxes completely. At times this whole process can be 10 seconds or 30 seconds. The seizures has been happen more often and tonight one of my sons had a seizure where he was spitting from his mouth and urinated on himself. This seizure was the longest he has had before roughly 30 seconds of arching his back, spitting and then alert enough to cry.
Any ideas or suggestions is appreciated. The neurologist said they should just grow out of it once my children become more mature and can increase their pain tolerance. I hope that is the answer. What are your thoughts?!?!??
