the people who have experianced bad side affects from dilantin & tegretol . did you have your meds. changed and if so did it make the side affects go away? my side affects are gait walking ,dizziness & confussion.

I am now on a combo of Phenobarbitol and Valproic Acid (generic for Depacote) and yes, the horrible side effects of Tegretol are gone. In their place are osteopenia from the pheno and weight gain from the vpA.
