Can you please view this video we took of our 4 year old son and please let us know if this is a seizure or what? We are totally freaking out and I haven't slept in a week. This is the 3rd one in the past 14 days. They were all similar to the video

History
We tool him to ER after the first one and they did nothing.
We took him to neurologist 2 weeks ago and we had a EEG.
EEG came back normal.

Last week we went back neurologist and had all this blood work done.
We are waiting for the results. ( Not sure why it took 2 weeks to get blood work done)

The dr. is 50-50 sending him for a MRI cause of his age.

The Dr. is driving us crazy cause we feel like hes not moving fast enough and doesnt seemed worried. Is this normal for seizures where is a waiting game to figure out? Are they dangerous? This is totally making us crazy. We follow him around the house all day long waiting for something to happen.

I've been reading all the over the internet and it seems like he has something really bad...

In the meantime we have made another appt to see another neurologist?

What else should we do?

PLEASE EVERYBODY ANY ADVICE WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED.

It looks like it very well could be a seizure.

sorry, I didnt read your post throughly....

thats weird that the blood work too so long to get back. It looks like something is going on.

have you tried seeing a pediatric neuro?

Ok, then Id probably look around for a second opinion.... something is going on and as a parent myself, Id be looking into everything I could.

In my experience with my neurologist, he was pretty slow with getting things done. I had to really push him along. However, at that stage I had only had one seizure and the first MRI and CT had come back clear.

Just speaking for myself (I know everyone is different) but for me seizures have been fairly harmless. Once I'm in a safe location (I always try to get back to bed) everything has been ok. Have the seizure, come around maybe 15 minutes later and then spend a day exhausted and fine by the end of the day.

As with the other advice on here, the only time you should worry is if he physically injures himself or if it lasts longer than 5 minutes. Otherwise, the worst part about the seizures is they are just really really annoying

To me that look like a form of a partial seizure.
I know you are look online to see what kid of seizure this could be, what I did was I went online an got a list of all the seizures that I could get ahold of, then I read about them and looked at the signs and symptoms, then I say down with my husban an hight lighted the ones that I did durin a seizure, then my next doc app I took the papers to him.
Try doing that. What I know I m having is a form of complex partials seizures that spred into a Tonic Clonic. I would get a second opinion and go to different doctors, my Nuro doc is being really slow to he hasn't ordered any test or really asked my any question all he keeps doing is refilling my Keppra, of I don't start getting some plan of what way I need to be headin or getting answers I will be seeing another doctor.
Also, checkout my YouTube videos go to www.youtube.com type in the search box jujub428 and watch as many as you can. Some of te videos really have no point to them but most of the videos have information that my pych told me on what to do hat to say when I go to the hospital and a little how the hospital system thinks.
If you feel in your gut that why ever they are saying your son has isn't right GO with your gut, and why is best for him and the family. These doctors will do run arounds and never get to the point so yes you will have to speak up and be pushy.
I hope what I said didn't make you mad.
Good luck of you need to talk I m here for ya an please keep us posted and be sure to check out my videos. ( I might sound a little stupid but I do know what I m talking about)
Good luck

To me that looked like a seizure, but that is my opinion, the blood work taking 2 weeks seems long but I can understand it, for the simple reason, even now at my age, when blood tests are done it takes that lenght for one test every year, they do a very indepth anaylis, eg, normaly its the usual, liver, blood count ect, whith this one there is nothing left out, I have had epilepsy since I was about 18 months, stop thinking its the end of the world (thats easer said than done), yes keep an eye on him, you are doing good and are good parents, it took a vet (anamil doctor) to diagnoise me. EEG coming back normal, well that means nothing from my point of view, most do, look what you are going through I can only imagin, and I will no advise you, but I will tell you what I think. Fist get him a new neuro, see what he says, second, tell your ownb doctor to get a move on, that this is driving you up the wall. there are parents here with childern who have epilepsy so you might want to look and see what they say. Best of luck with all this and I hope the waiting is over soon.

Hi Bill, that must be so upsetting for you and your wife. I have simple and complex partial seizures and my husband and 10yo daughter say I just look out of it, smack my lips together a bit, and just don't respond to their questions (so now they don't bother saying anything and just wait til I come out of it). I've seen my daughter have night terrors, which she has not/cannot respond to me and is just wide-eyed with fear. It is SO horrible. I would be definitely seeing another neurologist. From what I understand a lot of children grow out of epilepsy. And just because he's had a couple doesn't mean he'll continue to do so. Has he been unwell/had fevers lately? Have you travelled anywhere where he might have picked up a virus? Is he completely normal other than those episodes? Have all the information you think you might be asked. Good luck and hang in there. I'm sure they'll work out what's going on with your gorgeous little boy.
