cazza77, is your daughter not under care of neurologist? Because I am surprised ans sorry you have been left in the ‘unsure’ position.

Yes but i was told to just half it never really explained to us.They havent been helpfull since it all started last year

cazza77, as I am not on E meds, my Son is, I am sorry I cannot speak with any experience so I won’t.

I know my Son’s neurologist said same to my Son when we talked about stopping the meds, he said 50% of dosage for a week then stop. He takes Valproic acid. We are moving from his current neurologist to an eptologist, to get better overall support for my son. If you not happy with the support you/your daughter receive, could you also consider changing doctors or to an eptologist?

Hoping some of the other CWE members may have some good advice for you.

Im no doctor, but if I were you, I would first off, Call the dr to make sure what they mean. But to me, it sounds like they want you to cut her dosage in half. So if she is on 350mgs in the morning, and night, you would give her 175mgs in the morning and 175mgs a night. But please dont go base off of what I say. Im no doctor. I just am trying to figure out what they mean by when they say "half". But please, give the doctors office a call and see what they mean by it. Its better to be safe than sorry.

Talk to the doctor. If you can't reach him, talk to your pharmacist. Don't make any further changes until you have precise information to follow.
