I've already made a few posts about this stomach pain, it has recently been diagnosed as PID but the antibiotics I've been given haven't helped me at all, I still feel it is to do with my Zonisamide tablets, simply because the timings line up so well.

I know a lot of people here had problems with zonisamide, and if you could help me by telling me what and where the discomfort was and how it felt, maybe I could draw a comparison.

My GP has been a bit useless to date, apart from his PID diagnosis.
My neurologist has gone AWOL along with the epilepsy nurses, so I don't really know who I can contact to ask about it.

I think I've mentioned my issues with Zonisamide before, but here they are:
I had a very painful "sour" stomach. I was at the point where I was researching what kinds of foods would have an antacid effect, in the hope of getting relief. I think that's different from the bloat and pressure you've been experiencing, but your symptoms could still be related to the Zonisamide. Drugs.com lists abdominal pain, nausea, belching, constipation, and indigestion as side effects...

You could also check out this site to see if anything is mentioned that matches your symptoms:

It's just such a pain in the arse (figurarively) because I know they cause these stomach/admoninal pains.
The pain has definitely started since taking the tablets.

I was really happy when they diagnosed PID, in the sense I was happy to have a diagnosis, but the more I think about it the less likely it seems that it is that.

I am just worried that I am going to be "waiting to see" and it ends up really damaging me, I know zonisamide can poison you.
Or even, my nan had appendicitis for ages.

The doctor at a&e said it was just a tummy ache. Groan....

Don't be afraid to be "pushy" and follow up with your docs, especially if the pain gets worse.

My GP office isn't overly professional, when I get too pushy, they tend to get a bit bitchy.
I swear they "lost" 10 water samples in a row, I don't think that is genuinely possible without a deliberate slip up.

No, there are only two in my village, and we are in a law suit with the other one. So I can't be with them. Other is like a 45 minutes bus ride, and there aren't many busses each day.

aargh, how frustrating. Good luck, I hope you can get your docs to shape up. Keep a journal of how you are feeling and ALSO of how you have been treated, in case you need to file a complaint sometime in the future.
