I have had seizures for many years and they have been consistant in their symptoms. Lately I have noticed that urination conitues upon regaining concesness and trying to rise from the floor. I don't understand this, nor have I heard of it. I plan to mention it to my doctor on my next visit though I thought I would throw it out there for thoughts and opinions if anyone knows of this or something similar. Thank You:)

Not sure on this ... ive lost bladder control during a seizure and if I having I almost certinly have to pee imidiatly after the seizure which isnt slway convenient as im to post-ictal to even speak let alone walk ...

See if others chime in on this one

Hi blindhand --

Urination during or after a seizure is due to the relaxation of the muscles after the "clenching" phase of the seizure. But it's possible that you've suffered some muscle or nerve damage as a result of your seizures, and it's making it more difficult for your bladder to function properly. Definitely check with the doc.

I sometimes urinate during seizures, it isnt constant, but sometimes.

@ Nakamova
Thank you very much. I do have the urination during the seizure but sometimes it's like it doesn't stop after. Me (and my wife) have noticed that as I am standing up more will come out, almost like it's not finished. I never thought about it before but what Nakamova says makes sense. I don't like the sounds of where this could take me, I hate doctors and hate the tests even more but this is not something I want to spill over (pardon the pun) into my everyday life. Appreciate the response:)
