Does anyone know if drinking black coffee with nothing, if it can raise your glucose level? I'm just wondering cause this first time it happened from having some coffee. For those of you that don't know i do have diabetes. Sorry if this sounds like a strange or weird question. I'm just wondering. Any information would be helpful. I hope everyone has a great weekend.

Black Coffee

It shouldn't affect blood sugar, but can help a person wake up or even go to the toilet if stopped up and if it strong enough.:roflmao:

I don't recommend pouring coffee grounds down
the ter'lit or sink for that matter, in spite of what they
say that it helps cleans out your garbage disposal in
your sink. (And it's hideous for those on septic tanks!)

:noevil: :pfft:

==========================

I drink coffee, I'm a cof-o-holic, and I'm not
ashamed to admit it, but I'm also a Pepsi-holic
too! However, I limit my intake.

ONE THING to keep in mind is this:

Using more coffee grounds does not make the
coffee STRONGER, it actually makes it bitter;
PLUS - it will make you more prone to have
headaches (this includes "normal people"). People
tend to believe "more coffee" means "more caffeine
zolt!" - when it is untrue. If one wants a stronger
coffee, then you need to find one that has been
processed accordingly. It's how the coffee beans
are processed which makes it weaker or stronger
in the caffeine levels, that's the fact.

Some brands are more notoriously known to be
"strong" in caffeine, while others are known to be
"strong" in flavor but not known for their caffeine!
Strange but true!

It is a wise move to discuss with your Physicians in
regarding the drinking of alcohol (if permitted),
caffeine beverages - which includes soda, tea, and
coffee, herbal drinks, power/health drinks. For some
can have adverse reaction to your AED or
AEDS so you do not want to put yourself in
jeopardy for that reason.

==========================

I have cut way back on Pepsi and Iced Tea, and I have
an unusual mode of my own Coffee - it is actually half
and half. Half Decafe and half Regular - and people who
have drank it, could not believe it was half and half, they
couldn't tell the difference!

I actually have to get two bowls out and divide the
canisters, so that half of the Decafe is in one bowl
and half of the Regular is in the other, then I dump
the Regular into the Decafe and vice versa, and I
really mix it up really well - and both go back into
the canisters. I keep mine in the freezer (if I lack room
in freezer, then the one I'm using goes into the
refrigerator). You can even use Zip-Loc Bags to
store them in if Storage Space is lacking and it does
save space and room if you have a small unit.

I AM NOT A FAN OF SUGAR! I hate sugar in coffee
(except for Thai Iced Coffee with a little bit of sugar),
but I'm heavy on the milk - and I've been teased
by waitresses who knows me, "Would you like a little
coffee with your milk?"

:D

Yup, even my Starbucks knows me ... too well... how I
like my coffee ...

:cheers:

I don't know about glucose, but watch out for the caffeine!
