My name is Kay and I'm a 44 year old mother of three. My husband got me started on this site. I was a little nervous at first, but it gets easier each time. Thanks to all who have responded. It really helps!

I'm wondering if I had a seizure. This morning, I wasn't feeling right. I felt tired and rather confused. It was like I'd had a few drinks. I was even slurring my words. I feel better, but I'm extremely tired now. Could I have had a seizure?

Thanks,
K

Hi Kay! It sounds like you might have had a seizure. Did you notice this right when you woke up? Or did the symptoms occur later in the morning? All of this is important info for your doc. :) Glad to see you getting comfy on the site. :)

seizure

I know that I woke up feeling tired, but I think the other stuff happened alittle later. I'm having trouble remembering for sure. I'm sorry!

Thanks,
K

That's what I feel like sometimes after I have a seizure. I also know that depression can make you feel tired to. Similar to having a seizure.

I agree Hawke, Depression can do that to me too.
Yet have you ever tried to smile when you are down? It can improve your emotional outlook.

Hi Grandote. How are you feeling today? I hope you are feeling better and no headaches. I am Teresa and I am 43 and have epilepsy and have one son and he has epilepsy. I am glad you are here talking. Atleast we know you are ok.

Hope today is going better Kay. Those sound like either seizure symptoms or post seizure symptoms as you may have had one while you were sleeping.

Please be sure to write down what you can. If you don't remember everything, that is alright, just note that you can't remember certain things.

You can get through this, we will be here for you.

Hi Kay! Hope you're feeling better, and that you had a good morning. :) I agree with Buckeye. Just write down what you do remember, and note the things that you can't remember. You might have had a seizure in your sleep. If so, the doc needs to know. :)

Just wanted to say "hello"

Good afternoon, everyone!

I'm doing better today. Thank you to everyone who wrote me. Sometimes I feel like I have no clue about whats going on with me. Reading your replies yesterday, helped me so much. As each day goes by, I learn more and more.

Bless you all!
K

Most of us have felt the support you are talking about, so we do not hesitate to pass it on to others. I personally have found almost as much relief in the giving than the receiving. Probably a void in my life that needed filled.

Try to think of each day survived as a victory. Hopefully soon, those days will turn into weeks and then months.

Take care of yourself and hug your children. Hugging my grandkids is always a positive for me.

Confusing to say the least... but glad that you are up and able to check in.
