I had a breakthrough sz after having a rather nasty cold. My husband thinks my last one was just as I was recovering from a cold as well. Has anyone experience anything like this? I don't remember having a cold for the previous one but that was three years ago. My doc has always said I didn't have to worry about sinus meds or cold meds (non-drowsy) being a problem with Lamictal and Keppra so I don't think that is related.

My daughter had not had a seizure for about 3 or 4 years, then last week she had a tonic-clonic out of the blue. She had, however, been pretty sick for over a week with a stomach bug and a high fever, which certainly could have lowered her seizure threshold. I suppose that could be happening to you as well when you are sick.
Keep well! :)
