I had the test last week and today I went to the neurologist for the results. he told my husband and me that it did not show that I had a seizure during the test. But it showed that I was in the lower realm of having a seizure or having seizure acitvity. I am already on Topamax 75mg twice a day for Should I get a second opinion? He didn`t say I have Epilepsy but it spounded kind of like that.

dr's can be so hard to pin down sometimes. It is almost as if they were to tell you a diagnosis that you would beat them up or something. If you don't feel comfortable with him/her then I would go for a second opinion.

Keep in mind that they will try to rule out everything before giving you a diagnosis because doing so can cause more harm than good if they start feeding you lots of drugs, taking your driver's license and causing you to have a medical condition that you have to report when you apply for jobs etc. Still, my take on this is that regardless of what they call it, it's still happening to us!
I'd call him and clarify it and say that you're not sure what it means. Then if you're still not happy, ask for a copy of the test and take it to another doctor.

Driver`s License and diagnosis?
Do you mean that if I am diagnosed with any kind of seizure disorder..that my driver`s license will be taken away from me? I have`nt even thought about that! I live in California. What about in the state of Florida?
