Sore Ribs?!

Good morning Friends,

I woke up with really sore ribs on my right side. I did not have the usual tonic clonic where I sweat and pee the bed but I did wake up during the night feeling like I had been kicked in the side. The feeling persists this morning. My question is this; do all tonic clonic seizures follow the exact same pattern? I don't seem to be a thrasher but rather just stiffen so I have not hit myself on anything.

Got two broken ribs myself ouch.in my case I rember sitting up in bed with great urgency don't know what for and went down on corner of table next thing I rember is doing it again.It sounds odd but I remember not remembering what exactly happened.i was screaming for husband he was 400miles away I don't know how long on the floor if it was e has e got worse hope not

That happens to me a lot with sore ribs or sore muscles as I know I have seizures at night from getting all stiff from the seizure.

They are different for each person and they can also change over time for a given individual. The first tonic-clonics I had were different from later ones. Some have been more violent, some less so...

Can you set up some sort of motion-sensitive camera? That might give you more insight into what's happening.

That's what I would like to do is have a camera to see what I do at night.

Are the sore muscles the only indication you have of having had a seizure during the night? No sweats, incontinence or postictal period the next day?

I did find changing pillow system better you have experiment with that one

I can tell when I've sweat bad too kind of like a hog and I'm not big LOL

I have hot flushes and seizure sweats are a million times worse for me. Also only happen from shoulders to groin. This is a strange condition.

I never smelt hog I have smelt next doors cat sh1t...shoulder to groin sounds like nerve or muscles problems.
Have they done thyroid test she.?

The sweats are shoulder to groin. I have E and also have low thyroid, that has been for years.

I sweat bad at times. Even worse in the Summer as the heat really gets to me.

Low thyroid normally makes you cold.What I do in summer is really damp a towel put it where you hot or water bottle with crushed ice cubes in it.i can't think of anything else.There is another condition I saw woman have it.i think called tetny poor woman's body contorted in all directions,she said happened at night aswel her back arched and she in lot of pain...all had something to do with parathyroid ..She took prescribed calcium she sweated a lot.i met her in sauna she had attack in there.poor woman naked in contorted position being yanked off to hospital begging not to go.All very difficult all us women buck naked and para medics pretending everyday event.Now heat had something to do with that she said she came to sauna her sweat smelt not sure about hog smell.she thought really sweat it out maybe better unfortunatly had opposite effect
