I've had a lot of stomach problems, my doctor won't send me for tests.
They eventually told me that they thought I had PID, so I got 2 weeks of antibiotics, now 2 months later the pain is back.
Once again they won't send me for tests, just gave me pills.

I am a bit worried it's the tablets, it seems to coincide with when we put them up?

However I can't find anything on the internet about it causing "women's problems"

I am changing doctors and seeing my specialist on the 26th, but I would like to know what to say and if anyone else has bad experiences?

I had stomach problems only. Painful acid stomach.

I've had stomach pain in many different parts, sometimes we've been worried about appendix, other times gallstones.
Today it feels raw and acidy.
It could just be the pain, but I also feel really sick and don't fancy food. I am eating, because I know it's important to keep food in me.
But I constantly feel as if I am going to be sick afterwards.

With a shocking headache, I am taking regular codine for :/

I wish my doctor would do something except give me antibiotics!!

Antibiotics tend to be hard on the stomach; Eating a spoonful of yogurt or other probiotic foods (such as kefir) several times a day might help (unless you are sensitive to dairy).

It might be worth seeing a nutritionist or dietician. They could take a closer look at your stomach pain as well as your dietary routine. If they think stomach issues are playing a role, they might be able to recommend changes that can help.

I'm on a stable diet that was made my a nutritionist, I've added probiotic yogurt drinks like you said.
I am just worried the doctor is doing more harm than good, this will be over a month of super strong antibiotics without ev even running a test or a scan.

She says it is guess work, I don't understand why she can't take some of the guesswork out of it and send me for tests.

Any chance you can get a second opinion? I agree that the month of antibiotics seems questionable.

I can change doctor surgeries after I finish this course of antibiotics, but there aren't many doctors in my area the only other people would be the emergency services.

Any chance you can go see a doctor farther away? It seems ridiculous that they won't run additional tests that might help determine what is going on. Did they at least do blood tests to look for signs of inflammation or infection? Did they do an ultrasound?

I don't really have transport, and I don't think I would feel safe on a bus or train.
I think I am kind of stuck waiting it out to see if it gets better over the weekend, if not I will have to beg my doctors to see me

Our Jonathan just did a very fast Zonisamide wean because of kidney issues. The wean was absolutely horrible.

However, he was on this med for several years, and it was helpful, especially for tonic-clonic seizures and gelastic seizures.

The best way to take Zonisamide (to prevent tummy pain and upset) is at the END of the meal, followed by a FULL large glass of water. Never take it on an empty stomach Also, this drug has a very long half life, so you can take the entire dose once a day, and taking it at night will help a lot with sleep (as well as nocturnal seizures).

Be warned that this drug is famous for causing acidosis and kidney stones, so drinking a lot of water is important. Drinking a lot of water (with a little lemon or baking soda) is helpful for flushing the calcium and crystals out of renal system which this drug can cause (that's why we just had to wean, but didn't start having the issue until on it for several years). This will also help with nausea.

I had a full admoninal and pelvic scan today, everything was clear.

I am convinced it is the tablets, I started taking the tablets in November, the pain started, I upped them on new year, the pain got worse.
I don't understand how the doctors don't see the link and continue to tell me I am crazy thinking it is the pills.

I had enough of waiting for my doctor and went to the hospital tuesday, got scans done today.

Just to close the books on everyone for this.
The zonisamide poisoned me, in the sense it made me liver decay (or whatever livers do) because the liver was working so hard to get rid of it as they saw it as a threat. Came off it and stomach pain is gone.
I still have the pain lower down but I think it is more to do with intestinal difficulties than anything epilepsy

Sorry it didn't work out, but very glad that the pain has left along with the Zonisamide...
