Anyone besides me excited about the BIG game on Sunday?

We're talking American football here. Not soccer. :pfft:

A neighbor of ours is having a watching party. I'll be bringing my 'ol standby - queso dip and chips. :woot:

So, who do you hope wins?

San Francisco 49ers or Baltimore Ravens?

 Go 9ers!

What? The 9ers? No way! Nor the Ravens after what they did to the Broncos! I won't be watching it this year.

I'm not really a football fan so I don't have much of a stake in who wins, but I will probably watch the game. I want the Ravens to win mostly because I like crows and ravens, as may be inferred from my avatar.

I would like the 9er's to win.
I'm thinking the Ravens might pull it off, not because they are the better team, but becaus of Ray Lewis.

Would I be a bad sport if I say I hope the Ravens lose because of Ray Lewis? :p

(prob just jinx'd the 49ers.)

No.
After the theatrics that he put on after that last play off game, I thought he went off the deep end.

I would really like neither team to win... Is that possible?

Go Ravens, for a couple reasons.

49ers are my brothers team.
My team isn't there to crush them, so the Ravens need to do it. :)

49s... yes.. the first pro football game I ever saw they were playing. Sometime in the fall of 1975 against New Orleans at SF.

I like the Ravens uniforms better :), but I think the 49ers will emerge the winners. Hoping for a great game! Even though the Pats aren't involved...

being a die hard Chiefs fan. I'm happy for what the Ravens did to the Donkey..ooops I mean Broncos! :pfft:

I think the young quarterback, Kaepernick is very fun to watch. This is only his 2nd season in the NFL. Go 9ers!!

Plus, red is my fav color. :roflmao:

Red (for today) is a great color.
I really don't like the Ravens, and the way they allow Ray Lewis to act.

Yes, go red!!!! Hope Kaepernick has an awesome day. It's wild seeing a qb all inked up like that. Love the kid for being different. I read that all his tats are scriptures from the bible.

**A Not So Fairy Tale To Send To 49er Fans** :)

Here is a tale of an extraordinary event that happened not so long ago.
It took place in a magical place on earth New Orleans. This event called
was Super Bowl XLVII. Two teams from rival leagues came to play on that
night in the Superdome.

The first team was the mighty 49ers from San Francisco. The second majestic
and thrifty Ravens from Baltimore.

But little did the 49ers know that there prospects for victory in Super Bowl XLVII
would be very slim. They failed to realize the Ravens are birds of flight. They
indeed took flight over the 49ers. With a possible defeat incoming, four unknown
49ers decided they need help. They snuck off to see the Wizard of New Orleans.

The four 49ers hand-in-hand went off to see the Wizard of New Orleans. When
they got to the wizard of New Orleans, they each asked for help separately. Each
49er asked for different things for their team. The Wizard of New Orleans agreed
to help in any possible way.

After a successful visit (so they thought) to the Wizard of New Orleans the four 49ers returned to the Super Bowl XLVII. Several minutes later half of the Superdome went dark. It almost seemed like magic. The partial darkness lasted for at least an half-hour. During that time the Wizard of New Orleans went to the 49ers to help them.

Under the cover of the darkness he gave them some heart, and courage to play harder. The wizard even gave them some brains also. The Wizard of New Orleans quit and quietly left. Soon after the lights returned to normal, and the game resumed.

For a while it seemed like the four 49ers visit to the Wizard of New Orleans was helping them. But near the end it seems that the Wizard of New Orleans didn't give the 49ers enough brains to take advantage of the free two points the Ravens gave them. In the end we find out what the forth 49er that visited the Wizard of New Orleans wanted.

He wanted to go home. When the Wizard of New Orleans asked how long a flight he wanted. The 49er told him the shortest trip. The Wizard of New Orleans granted his request sending him and his team home on the next non-stop flight back to San Francisco as losers. The Wizard of New Orleans decided not to give much brains to the 49ers. He
realized they couldn't even use what little brains they already had, any more would just
confuse them.

Cute story, Bigman! I'm not really much of a follower of sports in general, but I do watch some of the post-season games. I wanted the Ravens to win only because I like ravens and crows, as I mentioned above. It was a pretty exciting game though, with two history-making TDs, one by each team. And, of course, the Blackout!
