temporal balding?

Greetings!
I am curious if anyone who has had a craniotomy has experienced thinning and/or stunted hair growth over the skull flap.
It has been been two months since my discharge from intracranial monitoring of seizures (bilateral tle) and all the hair on my head looks good besides the expected bare patches of scar. Although above the site of craniotomy it looks as though I am a chemo patient, with little and short hair. I have shaved the other side to keep it symmetrical.
All the information I find on the internet of recovery after neurosurgery mentions nothing of this. It would be nice to hear some input from peers.

When my daughter had her grid surgery it took about a year for it to grow back in evenly. It wasn't really that noticeable since we brushed her hair over it to cover but it's still thinner on the left side and interestingly, it grew in curly but the rest of her head is stick straight...

Thanks for some information. I had asked the neurosurgeon on my followup and was told that it would be fine in six mos. I hope that doesn't mean covered with longer hair. My neurologist has no information to give on this subject. I assume it's not terribly important. I am not confident with my first impressions at the moment, especially to prospective employers.
