My mom's sick with a cold due to bad weather. I want her out there baking my cookies! She's been talking all week about baking and making them on Sunday! And my nose and stomach has been SET for this! I am not too happy of a camper! But I think she will bake something later on since she's not sneezing as much now.
My mom makes these Volcano Cookies but had to quit making them all because of me! I just cannot stop eating them and she yells at me for it! They are actually like chocolate puff ball like cookies that cracks on the too when cooked, then she pours fudge from my baby spoon in those cracks, which is the Lava, and then dusts it with 10x sugar for snow. I had actually eaten the whole batch to myself once and had 2 angry parents, my mom and dad, mad at me! Ask my mom about that one! I ended up with a really bad tummy ache and was sick and had to miss school! My dad told me it served me right! Man, I miss those cookies.
I begged my mom to make Gingerbread men once, and she kept telling me that I wouldn't like it and it would be dog food. But it was a lot of fun designing it after it cooled off, but eating it. OMG! This had to be the worst thing I've ever had in my entire life!
My mom loves homemade fruitcakes, and she can have all of mine until one day she got me to try it, fresh, and I actually like it when it's been warmed with butter, but everything else is in the class of gingerbread men.
I noticed my mom didn't tell you what we did with shortbread cookies, we actually gave them to our dogs we owned in the past as a little treat and they loved them, and would beg for more! If it had sugar on it, we had to brush the sugar off first, but we limited it to 2 cookies a week only.
