Hi,

This is my first time here, and after browsing around for a little while, I can tell this is an amazing place.

My little sister used to suffer from thousands of atonic-myoclonic seizures every day, and drugs didn't work. We thought we were going to lose her, but fortunately my parents discovered the Ketogenic Diet. After a couple months on the diet, her seizures stopped completely. I recently created a youtube video (I tried to put a link here, but discovered I can't due to "malicious trolls") about our experience and had my parents give advice to anyone else who would be going through the same thing. I'm trying to get the word out about the diet because it really has the potential to save brains... and lives. So basically, if anyone can help me figure out how to best share this video, I would be greatly appreciative.

Thanks,
Jon

Welcome to CWE Jon, My special needs eldest son has Lennox Gastaut syndrome. Medication didn't help a bit and he started the ketogenic diet at the age of 5.
8.5 years later he still is on the diet. He is not a 100% seizure free but seizures are reduced abuot 90% and his EEG improved >70%

I really would like to see your video, please share the link with spaces between the words and one of the moderators will fix it for you.

Thanks Dutch mom,

My sister was also diagnosed with Lennox Gastaut syndrome. Best of luck to you!

Hi Jon, welcome to CWE!

It's always great to meet advocates for epilepsy, and to hear about treatments that have helped. Here's the link for your video:
