I have had this experience for the past couple of years. I hope this doesn't mean my epilepsy is getting worse.
I have photosensitive epilepsy, and while I originally thought it was caused by sunlight, which seemed to be the main factor since childhood, now when it's night time and I am anywhere with fake lights (street lights do this a lot) I will have a moment where my vision just sort of stops. Not black out, but it's like I'm walking, my eyes take a picture of what I see and it stays a picture as a keep walking. Doesn't move with me. It only lasts about a second and then I'm back to normal, no postictal effects except I get kind of shaken up and anxious. It happens more when I'm tired. Anyone have any experience with this? Is it a simple partial? It's so weird.

I'm not sure if this is at all the same, but I have had times when I almost black out. My son calls them "Brown-outs" because the "lights" go off, but are back on in seconds. I was recently diagnosed with frontal lobe epilepsy, and am not very knowledgeable about any of this. I just thought it might be to know someone else goes through something similar.

I have photosensitive epilepsy too and I have something similar going on with me. I am 27. This issue happens at night as well. So far I don't know what's going on. Another thing that happens to me at night is that I have "visions" while almost blacking out. I'm going to make an appointment next week, since I'm worried about it. Now I don't feel so alone. Thanks for sharing guys.
