Hi again. It`s Minky55. My Sleep Deprivation EEG was abnomal. I had an Mri of my brain a week ago on Friday and still waiting for resluts. If the docotr doesn`t call me in the morning I will start calling the office. It must not be real serious or they would have called me . I have been busy. Guess I should`nt do this but I have spare time so here it is. Ilooked up Psychogenic Epilepsy..non-epileptic..and it says it does not produce abnormal EEG`s. Then I looked up Panic Attacks.. from whatI can gather it can in a small percentage of people. I don`t feel I am having either of those though anyway. My symptoms are : sudden feast heart beatm short of breath, pressure in my headache and bad headache and sleepy tingling small jerks in left arm or fingers. lasts a couple of minutes and sleepy. Maybe I should just wait for the MRI resluts. I am on Topamax he increased it to 100mg twice a day.

try not to worry about it. i had an mri scan and everything was fine. only my eeg scan showed abnormality. it did take a couple of weeks for the results to come through but call them soon if you don't hear anything from them

It always seems like test results take forever! I'm glad you are on some medication now and even though you don't have your diagnosis yet at least you are on the right track it seems.
If they're panic attacks or if they're seizures, either way they're not pleasant!

i hope they get back to you soon . Waiting is no fun.I'm glad to that you have some meds hope they are helping. I hope the test results give you answers.

That's great Minky. I know we all want our tests to come back normal but having an abnormal EEG only means that they are closer to finding what might cause your seizures or at least where in the brain they are.

As well you now know that they're not psychogenic so you're learning more about them.

So many people with seizures get back normal EEG's & that means they're still at a loss to understand their seizures.
